Elvis Perkins szólóban még 2007-ben mutatkozott be Ash Wednesday című abumával. A folk-rock énekes-dalszövegíróhoz később hárman csatlakoztak. A Brigham Brough, Wyndham Boylan-Garnett és Nick Kinsey multiinstrumentalista zenészekkel kibővült Elvis Perkins in Dearland márciusban jelentette meg azonos című albumát. A Shampoo című dalba sikerült egészen beleszerelmesednem.
